Electrical Utility Superintendent for the Town of Stantonsburg
Position Overview:
The Town of Stantonsburg is excited to announce an opportunity for a skilled and experienced Electrical Utility Superintendent to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the seamless delivery and maintenance of our town's electrical services. With a salary range of $75,000 to $85,000, this role offers both a rewarding career and a chance to make a significant impact on our community. ??
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a dedicated crew in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical distribution systems, both overhead and underground.
- Implement and oversee safety training and compliance with all safety regulations.
- Manage budgetary needs, purchasing, and inventory to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.
- Play a hands-on role in troubleshooting and resolving power outages and other service disruptions.
- High school diploma with technical courses in electricity; extensive experience 5-7 years as an electric line worker and supervisory experience is a plus.
- Valid North Carolina commercial driver’s license and line certification by Electricities or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of power line construction, maintenance, and the principles of electricity.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
